My name is Mrs Bland and I would like to welcome you to our school website. I am very proud to be able to share with you the wonderful opportunities and developments at Collingwood Primary School where I have been headteacher since January 2018.

This is a large and vibrant school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities. The children are at the heart of every decision we make as we try to ensure that they are happy, confident and that the opportunities that are provided for them are relevant to their needs - both now and in the future.

Through our evolving and engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning and curiosity that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We believe in ensuring that all children experience quality first teaching where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured. The past 3 Ofsted reports have been good and we provide excellent outdoor, sporting and IT facilities. Collingwood is well known for its extra-curricular provision with a daily breakfast club and many after school clubs such as: football, hockey, drama, dance, choir, homework, story club, cookery, art, science and French.

I hope that this website will give you as much information as possible about our school, the staff and the many activities that our children enjoy through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities. It will grow over time as we add more information, but can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us. If you have any suggestions to make, or would like to see us at work, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the best school in the world!

H Bland
